Our school loves to encourage students to try new things and have fun experiences, one of which is building robots. We have three students Kamden Luebbert, Zac Pietzold, Sean-Pan Williams all that are in 8th grade, they formed their own robotics team and built their own robot which had the ability to pick objects up, their robot consists of different kinds of metal for the body, motor for the brain, other materials such as wheels, collars, springs, aluminum, stand offs and gears, with many more all of these which are said by the students themselves.

Luebbert shared their process of making the robot by explaining, “we first got together and talked about the robot then gathered all the materials and started making the robot.” Williams shared his favourite part of the robot in which was the basket that was used to hold the goal. Each competition there is an objective that the robot has to achieve and this time it was to pick up objects which in this case was a goal. They designed and built their robot by following the objective. Luebbert shared that he learned a lot of new things and had a lot of fun with friends. There were 40 teams in total and they won first place overall.
