Let’s find out the PYP OBOB Winner!

Starting in October 2021 and ending on March 16th, 2022, 7 teams in 3 grades participated in this thing called OBOB! OBOB is an acronym for Oregon Battle Of The Books. In 6 months, 7 teams read 16 books. The maximum number of members for the teams are 4 students. All the teams spent a lot of time reading, studying and talking about all their books.

Fast Forward to March 16th. Every team is ready for battle. Everyone battles against everyone.  Coming out of Pool Play in the morning, Book Wolves had 80 points, Mysterious Book Society had 100 points, and Reading Puppy Dragons had 72 points. The Book Wolves and the Mysterious Book Society moved onto the Championships. The PYP stage held the OBOB OTA Championships. The final points were 45 and 35 pts. The winner was… …THE BOOK WOLVES!!!! With 45 pts! The members are Brynn Burnett, Adin and Naomi Altman, and Lillian Alden. The Championships are on April 23, 2022. Unfortunately, Brynn will not be able to compete because of an upcoming trip to Orlando, Florida to go to Disney World! In her place will be Olivia Shultz to compete.
